I continue to expand my knowledge, experience and expertise in bodywork and I attend workshops and classes as often as possible to enhance my skills to better serve my clients.
Prior to becoming a massage therapist in 1999, I worked in the corporate world for fifteen years in auditing, accounting and finance positions. I got a Bachelors degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh in 1984 and became a CPA in 1985. I began my accounting career in Houston working as an auditor for Arthur Andersen. I moved to Raleigh in 1987 and worked for Carolina Power and Light Company for three years and for Nortel Networks for nine years.
After my two sons graduated from college, I decided I didn't have to remain in the corporate world. The path opened up for me to attend Massage school and finally, I can say I have a job that I totally love doing. (Believe me, when I was in the corporate world spending days and nights working on numbers, I never thought I could find a job that I loved. But I have. I absolutely love being a massage therapist!!!)
